Full Biography
Born and raised in Nevada, Courtney Burke’s roots in the Silver State run deep. Her connection to this land is personal, forged through generations of residency and a lifelong dedication to the communities that make Nevada unique. Courtney learned early on that our state’s strength lies in the independence of its people and the resilient spirit of its communities.
As a dedicated pediatric ICU nurse and nurse practitioner, she has spent much of her career caring for our most vulnerable. In the high-stakes environment of the intensive care unit, Courtney gained a first-hand understanding of the complex healthcare challenges Nevada families face every day. She learned that healthcare is about more than just medicine—it’s about listening, empathy, and advocating for common-sense solutions that put families first.
Beyond her clinical work, Courtney is a small business owner who knows the grit and determination required to build something from the ground up in Nevada. She understands the late nights, the financial risks, and the bureaucratic hurdles that come with entrepreneurship. Her experience as an entrepreneur informs her practical, results-oriented approach to policy and leadership.
She is running for Lieutenant Governor to bring that same common-sense leadership to the state level. Her vision is centered on empowering local entrepreneurs, revitalizing Nevada’s world-class tourism and hospitality sectors, and ensuring that all communities—from the urban centers to our most rural areas—have a powerful and transparent voice in their government.
Courtney is committed to serving all Nevadans and believes firmly in working across differences and building bridges to move our state forward together. She understands that our strength lies in our unity, and she is ready to get to work for a stronger, healthier, and more prosperous Nevada for everyone. She invites every voter to join her in this mission to build a state where every Nevadan has a seat at the table and an opportunity to succeed.
